It can be really hard to be close to someone who is going through severe depression. Really draining. One can feel powerless to help and that can feel really very unpleasant. I think it is understandable that eventually it would get to you and you might feel frustrated and express frustration when otherwise you wouldn't.

I guess it can be a hard situation for a councellor (or confidant(sp?) to be in...

If he supports you then you might feel worse about your husband...
If he supports your husband then you might feel worse about you...

I think there is a middle way here... Can you talk to him, or write a note to give to him or something? I don't think you are a total witch. I'm far from perfect myself :-(

Sounds like those are the kinds of things that you are having councelling for. The very fact that you aren't happy with those things... Shows that you aren't a total witch.
