This is not as uncommon as you think, especially in eating disorders. You might want to go to that forum to see how others have addressed this subject. Just reading posts on these forums I have discovered that lots of things that I thought were unique to me are really quite common. Also, my go to for things I can't talk about are to write them to my t in a letter. Could you try that?
