I dont know if this goes here, but if it doesn't please tell me and I'll move it because I need to ask somewhere; its killing my relationship.
My boyfriend is on ODSP (ontario disability), and is registered as living with his mom who has subsidy and also ODSP. He has actually been living with me in a one bedroom with rent thats 1200$ + hydro. I should be on ODSP myself, but the only thing stoping me besides the ridiculous treatment I've seen people on ODSP get from mental health workers is a 20,000$ trust fund I'm living off of and trying to save for school.
He's been trying to move in with me for the last six months so he can pay half the rent, and it should be as simple as "change address" but we've run to a finiky little rule that says if he moves in with me he loses all his ODSP and I take full responsibility for his fanciness. This takes place of any couple thats been together over 3 months.
I was thinking about saying he was just subletting from me, but it's a one bedroom and I'm worried I'm going to get all of us in trouble by doing that.
Any ideas?
