Thank you for responding, that makes me feel hopeful that it won't make me gain. (For once in my life I'm content with my body) I'm finally addressing my anxiety and Lexapro has been EXTREMELY effective for me. It's amazing to not have the feeling of dread for the first time in.....probably 28 years or so, I'd say. I'm sure some of you can identify.

I've noticed that I'm sleepier all the time and of course, the sex drive isn't what it was, but throwing in weight gain as well just might be a dealbreaker. I don't think that would help with the depression aspect!

Time will tell.

How long have you been taking Lexapro, if you don't mind my asking? I'm on 10 mg, but even 5mg was helping. I'm thinking that maybe trying to stay at 5mg might not be a bad idea - the sleepiness part is getting in the way of the occasional graveyard shifts I have to work. We'll see!!
