Zoloft was like living in a fog. On the higher doses, I felt like I was never quite awake.

Paxil made me numb. It kept me from being emotional.

Wellbutrin was total speed. At high levels, it was like chemically induced ADHD... I could not focus or sit still. I also had no appetite, and I lost about 20 lbs. in 6 months.

On Cymbalta, I am awake and alert. My chronic pain is definitely less. I feel less drugged on Cymbalta. It does suppress my appetite somewhat.

I never tried Zoloft, but other than that, the experiences you had with the other mentioned drugs are all similar to my experiences. So, just maybe, we react to drugs in the same way?

I am on 60mg Paxil now, and it has made me less emotional, which has actually been a welcome relief, since I suffered from GAD and PA. But, I have gained 40 lbs in the 5 years I've been on it, so I want to switch to one that does not cause the weight gain.

Maybe Cymbalta is the one for me? I don't have chronic pain, though, I do have Multiple Sclerosis, and there is some spasticity pain that goes along for the ride. I have heard that Cymbalta carries a warning for possible liver damage. Have you had any problems with that?

Now, I need to figure out a way to switch from Paxil to Cymbalta, without having the horrible withdrawal symptoms that seem to go with Paxil. How long were you on Paxil and how long have you been on Cymbalta?

Thanks in advance for you help,
