Ahh that's the lie that anxiety will tell you (and depression too if you have it), that what you are doing now won't work or help. But it really will, eating well, getting better quality of sleep an exercising will all help with GAD and other disorders too. Think of these as tools to help you reach your goal of moving out and whatever other goals you may have. Don't believe the lie its trying to tell you! These steps you are making are huge!!
