Hi, I'm new here but I'd like to chime in... I personally feel that Luvox is the best medication. I can say that I have tried them all and combinations of them too - my doctor said I'm like a salad - a dash of this, a slice of that. Currently I take:

Adderall
450 mg. Wellbutrin
15 mg. Abilify
300 mg. Luvox
1/2 of a 1mg. Xanax at bedtime
I'm probably forgetting something else

This combination is making me feel finally better, approaching normal dare I say - of course, who wants to be just normal? I still have two or three issues that I really struggle with but two or three is better than 100. Medication has brought me to the place where I am at least open and receptive to therapy.

Does anyone on here have any CBT experience? ERPs perhaps? ERP - exposure response prevention - fancy way of saying to face your fears and don't do anything to make yourself feel unscared. The gist is that the panic and anxiety will lower the longer you are exposed to what scares you, or makes you really uncomfortable. This is easier said than done - like who wants to expose or experience what absolutely terrifies them? I have done a lot of ERP work but it has done nothing to help with the last few obsessions. Right now I am struggling with health obsessions, obsession that I'll get rabies and not know it and that I'm scared that one day I might poison someone. You who have OCD know how hard it is to live like this. But, back to main point, the medications have really helped bring me to a better place, a place where the sun shines every few days.

Anyone else want to share what the focus of their OCD is?
