I really agree with this. At the end of the day all they have to go on is our own accounts, and of course, being human, we interpret our behavior, thoughts, moods, etc. in our own ways, for our own (sometimes unconscious) reasons. This is why I think it's so important for pdocs to hold off on diagnosis for a good while; until they've really gotten to know the pt over time, and perhaps witnessed moods and interpersonal interactions themselves. I think quick diagnoses are irresponsible. My 2 cents.
