I have had a similar experience about 4 times, it has something to do with numbers, it is almost impossible to remember and describe why I was terrified, I try to recall but maybe I think not getting a whole number then having a "direct injection of fear". I recall one time after a nightmare I ran downstairs and sat on the front lawn, completely conscience of what I was doing however scared out of my mind.
