Umm ThunderBow - bipolar cannot be applied to everyone! That's rather dismissive and invalidating to those of us who do deal with it. Even though I know you were trying to be helpful!
Luna: I am sorry to hear that you're struggling and are feeling angry with the diagnosis! You are definitely not alone though, but I understand how that feels. It's really confusing trying to work out who we are when we don't really understand how our bipolar works (as it really is different for each of us). I hope you'll be able to accept it at some point - personally (and this is so very personal and not true for everyone), I had accepted things before I went for the diagnosis. I found it comforting to know that I'm not just a moody b**** and that I'm not imagining things - that there actually IS a reason why I slowly shift into a different person as my mood shift happens. Once I understood that then I was able to learn how to cope and accept myself. It's nice to know that you've found your way to PC - I find the bipolar forum really helpful and comforting!
