Quitting the Alliance may be difficult but I agree it is not good that you have to lie to your parents. And you changing your parents mindset on your hanging out with gay people will be next to impossible. I would be honest with my friend and tell him the truth and that you can't be in the Alliance anymore. And I hope he is mature enough to understand that while you live with your parents you have to follow their wishes.
