When I am in depression that is what I do. I get up and do what I need to (get my kids to school, or in the summer walk the dogs) and then I go back to sleep. Sometimes I am not sleepy, but I do it so the day will pass a little faster.
When I start to feel better I don't want to do that, but my body has become used to the extra sleep. It usually takes a few days to break the cycle, but I am so happy when I do. Good luck!
