Ive been off Seroquel for a while but my pdoc wants me to start back up on it. Im already on Lamictal & Klonopin and I hate being medicated but she says its the only way she will keep me out of hospital. Im at the start of a mixed episode and the last time I was in one i drove my car into a brick wall.

What doses have people taken of Seroquel successfully?

I used to be on 200mg but that was when I was on Lithium. I had to stop the lithium and I stopped the Seroquel because of weight gain.

I want to take a small dose (200-300) but she wants me to titrate up to 800. Is this too high? Are the side effects really bad?

What else could I use for a mixed episode?
