Have you taken Seroquel before? Are you going to be on the IR (instant release) or XR (extended release) ? If you don't know, it's probably the IR as that is what most people take.

800mg? Holy crap. That is a LOT. You are going to be sedated out of your mind.

I take 500mg, but 400 is XR so I don't get very groggy from that because it's released over time. I take 100IR which does make you drowsy enough for sleep.

800 would be pushing the max dose you could take on Seroquel. Pdocs are supposed to put you on meds at the lowest dose that is effective.

I would not agree to 800mg....but rather maybe 200-300 and then wait to see how it affects you before making any other decisions about increasing the dose.

Seriously, 800 seems like a huge mistake.
