I've seen articles on "practical advantages" of being an older virgin. Are they either patronizing people like me or on something? If someone chooses that lifestyle, that's great. For someone like me, it's more than degrading. That's why I'm looking into paying for sex. It's that or have an empty, useless life because those pleasures are not meant for me.

I have absolutely no experience with this, no clue if it would work, but what if you did post on one of those adult dating sites something along the lines of "31 yo hetero male virgin is seeking a mature, sexually aggressive woman to be is first and show him the ropes. Not necessarily looking for a relationship, but am looking for someone to help make him feel like a man."
I dunno, just a random thought, I'm sure there are women out there who would love the opportunity to initiate a guy. If you posted, nothing says you even have to reply.
I'll tell you this, I feel your pain. I was never a one night stand guy, never had casual sex, only been with 4 women my entire life. And it has been the better part of 20 years. I am too messed up to even consider dating at this time, but I hope I can solve my problems and get there. I feel your frustration all around. I would reconsider at this point the casual sex thing myself, even just for one night of relief. I don't want to sound like a creep or a pig, but sex is a basic drive, guys need it. And, well, "it's just you and your hand tonight" only goes so far towards satisfying that drive.
Maybe give it a try. Otherwise, check you calendar and let me know when we can go to Reno.
