When I started seeing my T he was in a group practice. It was alright for the most part although I did have quite a bit of anxiety about the waiting room. T told me that I could sit in my car until I saw his door open(as it was visible from the parking lot) and then I could walk right into his office while he walked the previous client to the receptionist's desk. I did this once and found it was stressful that way as well because I couldn't read as I was so concentrated on watching his door. I also figured that it was good for me to force myself to deal with the waiting room despite my anxiety.

After about 2 years he left the group practice and is now on his own. His office is in a separate building on a piece of property that he owns near his home. It works out well as he lives close to his office and yet is not working from his home. He seems much happier now and I prefer his new set up.
