It could be the soy that's in most of them that made you feel worse. Also I think just because researchers found that Vitamin D levels were low in people with mental disorders like depression doesn't mean low Vitamin D causes depression. Its just correlation, the reason people with mental disorders have lower levels of vitamin D is because we don't go outside that much. Vitamin D is important, but I highly doubt its going to "cure" any mental disorder. Then again, neither do psychiatric medicines... Bottom line, if you have a psychiatric disorder, see a therapist, if its life threatening see a psychiatrist, you should get the relief you need, if not its possible your "mental disorder" is caused by a physiological condition, not a psychological one.
