Assuming a mental-health problem, it sounds like a problem with anxiety, ... maybe GAD or something. I'd get in touch with a doctor and try to get some answers/help; if you don't, these problems will fester. Lack of sleep will only make you much worse. My problems tend to get heightened, if I'm sleep-deprived. What you said doesn't remotely make me think of OCD, so you may want to ask a moderator to move your post to the anxiety forum, and see if you get some helpful input. Best of luck to you.
