Shoot, candybear, I wrote you an extremely informative & helpful post & my computer went down before it got posted! (kidding, lest you all think I'm manic & my opinion of myself is grandiose).

But I've got to get going so the "Cliff's notes" of my post are that you can do much to attain wellness besides taking meds (which may take a while to figure out--don't lose hope--it took a year for me). Like regular sleep, good nutrition, limit alcohol if you drink at all, exercise, good support, taking time each day to have some fun (hobbies), don't let yourself become your diagnosis--you are still "you" who happens to have bp, reduce stress & stress that you can't get rid of learn techniques to handle it, follow a good schedule so you don't become disorganized & overwhelmed. Learn what triggers a relapse in you--even though you are on meds, relapses can happen. Don't get overstimulated in your environment--tough to do around the holidays.

Maybe other people can add some more wellness tools they use.--Suzy P.S. Welcome to this "elite" group!
