Do you have any time to volunteer? I've gotten jobs by being in a "different" place at the right time. Find a volunteer job in the field you're interested in getting a job in?

Hope you meet someone soon who can help you out. Have you tried grocery stores? Checkers in my area make a goodly amount of money and have great benefits. Physically tough though.
