That was a nasty way of saying it, but I'm sure it is correct in some cases. For example, I often use my bad hearing to my advantage, or a woman may say she has a head ache. Is it that hard to believe some people could use their depression and or anxiety as an excuse to not do something they don't want to?

I am NOT suggesting that is the case here! But in all fairness it is some thing that can be done and of course one might wonder when. I still think it was unprofessional the way this T said it. She could have got the same meaning across in a better way or less insulting way.
