Family members who know me well suggested Bipolar for at least 10 years before my diagnosis. Somehow I was able to push that out of my mind; what do they know???

Early this year, I went off all psych meds and gradually sunk into a really bad depression. THAT was when the diagnosis was made in Sept. A short hospitalization and med stabilization later, I came out with a manic episode unlike none I'd experienced in years. Now it's subsiding thank heavens.

My initial reaction to the diagnosis was not good. But now I have had the time, and the frame of mind to accept it and move on. Life goes on, and all.
