there are two such units in London. the Maudsley and I can't remember the other one. before being treated you first have to go for an assessment, the waiting list is long from what I was told, the treatment from what was explained to me involves long term (up to 6 months) in patient care. involving physio, psychiatrist, OT, and nursing care among other things on a daily basis.
the treatment is very expensive and you will be very lucky if your CCG (PCT) agree to pay for it. mine refuse as they do not fund treatment at the Maudsley or the other one!
in my experience, no one knows much about this DX and so I am left to my own devices with the support of a monthly meeting with my social worker!
