Yes, MDs are quite cautious. When I printed off and showed my MD that I KNEW what the laws and guidelines are and how she is well within them for me, she admitted that she has other pain patients that she prescribes more of the same med to them than she does me. (I still don't know why she was giving ME grief for my lower dosing though.)

Why not google the regulations for your state, and see if the MD is just catastrophizing over nothing?
