I think if you are able to get a doctor to prescribe Adderall, it is just going to complicate things... as Adderall can be addictive, especially since it sounds like you may struggle a bit with substance abuse already. I would think very carefully about how you approach this. I think you are more likely to receive the ADHD treatment that you need if you go about it in an honest way (meaning telling your professionals everything).
