You can't get "locked up" unless you pose an immediate threat to yourself or others. You're not going to get locked up for having a personality disorder, or any other disorder, in and of itself. It doesn't work that way.

Medication won't make you lose yourself if it's used correctly, though I do definitely understand that fear.
