You're definitely at least an acquaintance. It does not sound like you guys were friends. Friendship has nothing to do with how long you have known someone.

I would say that anyone you have talked to more than 3 or 4 times in your life is an acquaintance.

Friendship implies much more than that (trust, respect, mutual interests, etc)
