I personally feel Porn has many, many negatives and very few positives (helps the lonely get quick gratification). As a survivor or sex abuse....sometimes reading about such twisted stories helps me get some control over it....same reason why sometimes rape victims want to view scenes of rape for gratification....it's i think mind's way of gaining control over incidents in which you feel helpless.

But I really don't think porn contributes to sexual abuse. Everyone is a deviant, but to different degrees. Some keep it restricted in their minds and would NEVER act on it, some may act if EVERY situation is right for it and some actively create scenarios so that they can act on it (like psychopaths).

Every abuser is a narcissist and narcissism stems from childhood or relations with parents, etc. Every abuser is either born that way (twisted in the brain....bad nature) or is made that way (through poor upbringing...bad nurture).

Ultimately, I don't think there's one single reason for it....for abuse or to that matter for every crime.
