As for the people in your past who supported you, can you possibly locate some of them to send a short thank you note, perhaps with a photo of you as you are now?

I left a little church where I got a lof of personal attention and mentoring from the minister, and especially his wife, to complete my education. I kept in touch, and from time to time told them how much they had influenced me. One time the minister's wife, now a woman I consider a lifelong spiritual mentor after 20 years, said, "B & I have helped so many people over the years. You don't know how rare it is for someone to come back, and let us know how they are doing, and say thank you."

It would be lovely way to share your joy, if it is possible.
