You have bipolar (a very uncommon disorder) and your friend has Schizophrenia? (Another rare disorder).

I offer you my sympathies but I hope not every person you know has a major extreme diagnosis.

If you do your best to manage your condition, and LISTEN to your doctor (and stay away from drugs), you probably will be okay.
