shakes, you think you are depressed and down on yourself now? Just wait til you start parading around naked or nearly naked for a bunch of drunken losers (IMHO any "man," no matter what he does for a living or how much money he may have, if in a strip club, is a loser.)

My oldest sister was a bartender in a strip club, you know, those supposed "high class" ones. I wouldn't speak to her for years. My other sister said that she spoke to her the day after her first time there and she was telling her how vile and disgusting it was and that she never wanted to go back, that all the men there acted like drunken idiots. I believe my oldest sister later denied saying this to my other sister, but that's beside the point. Anyway, she ended up working there for a few years. She told me how some of the waitresses were working their way through college. Please. Lovely commentary on our society. The owner gave her quite a bit of responsibility, including scheduling and opening his new place a couple hours away. She invested a lot of money in his clubs because he told her she'd get a good return on her investment. She eventually asked for her money back and quit the job. Some time after that we began speaking again. I never got a real answer as to why she left. My hunch is that she could no longer delude herself into thinking that this was no big deal and saw it for what it really is: disgusting and sad. I for one, don't buy into this whole ideology that porn and strip clubs are perfectly fine, and even encouraged in our society (not to mention others.) When did porn become mainstream? Sex and money are never a good combination.
