But if I do get this second job, it's going to be a hassle trying to explain it to my current manager and trying to get him to understand that I'll still be available for the holidays. I'll be working at both stores.
My husband is not too happy about it, it seems, because he thinks I'll be gone more often and he won't get to see me much. This is a possibility, of course, but for right now it isn't definite.
I am starting to stress out about it, though. I'm worried because the second job is on commission and I don't know how well I'll do selling things to people. At my current job, I just help people find shoes. I don't get tips, I don't get praised. I'm quiet. I do what needs to be done. At this new place, I'll need to really step it up and the face that I put on at my first job is going to have to become more fortified.
It's scary. I don't know if I can do it without lashing out at home.
Any tips or advice? Anyone else with two jobs?

I had two jobs for a little while, one was temporary. Just make sure you don't overdo it, if you get the job. I have worked commission before and I was horrible at it. I don't like trying to guilt people into buying stuff. But that doesn't mean your job and experience will be like that. Good luck!
