If people make it clear that they are not in a relationship and want to find something more than friendship then it would save a lot of awkwardness with not realising people have partners, misunderstanding people and just make things easier all round. Whats wrong with that?
my opinion is that people can designate if they are single, in a relationship or looking, or anything else for that matter in their status (that line underneath a persons picture/name...example mine says wife, mom, lesbian, survivor.

I have seen status lines that have members religion, mood, diagnosis, and many other different status lines.

members can also start a social group on anything they want, religion, politics, mental disorders, what ever. if your dating social group is public then anyone who is interested in this kind of thing will be able to join the dating social group. So again m,embers do have a way to connect with each other and develop relations this way.

theres also chat rooms where people can make their own chat rooms and password protect it so that only those that get invited can chat with one another. Someone could probably start a chat about dating and relationships. So again my point of view is thats another way people who wish to develop friendships and relationships headed towards dating issues can connect.
