hi, I have had some trouble finding a medication that works for me so I have switched around a bit. I started on a low dose of Zoloft (50 mg) upped the dose, added Wellbutrin, up again on the Zoloft- then down till I went off of it and tried just the Wellbutrin. That didn't work either. Now I am on Wellbutrin and Effexor. I know the experience is not the same for everyone but I haven't had any trouble changing meds. My Dr told me when I was transitioning to continue a low dose of the previous med for about a week or two, while taking the new one before going off the old. The biggest side affects I had the whole time was adjusting to the Zoloft in the beginning. I know this depends on the degree of the side effects and the strength of the medication.. but I think the biggest thing is transitioning slowly and not just stopping cold. well that's my experience and the advise my Doctors have given me..
