That's so hard. My brother when he was an active alcoholic did that to me too; thought our parents were "mad" at him so called/relied on me instead. I was in therapy and fragile myself at the time and my parents were getting elderly and would call me for "news," etc. I understand so well the helplessness and discomfort.
Can you go out and "do something" with someone else/a friend? I found it was hardest being alone. Go grocery shopping or something? I was lucky, one of the worst nights my brother called me from across the country so it became "just" a logistics problem of clueing in our aunt who lived there to get/help him and get him back from San Francisco to the East Coast. Then my father was able to step in and get him to a treatment facility. Do you have a T or doctor you can call and see if they know of any resources that can help you?
