Mine had his chair, which was a swivel recliner, and a non-swivel recliner (client chair) at @ a 45 degree angle with an end table between. Then a third chair more in front of his, but at a slight angle. And a couch on the other side of the room. I'd generally sit in the recliner, occasionally in the third chair if I were trying to increase eye contact. After sessions, he let me stay in the room for maybe 10 minutes to ground myself while he went to another room to record notes, and I would switch to his chair. It was helpful.
