This makes me think about post-partum psychosis. Anybody can have that, but I'd think it would be more likely in someone with bipolar. My OB/GYN followed me closely while pregnant and post-partum
even though I wasn't diagnosed bipolar yet. I had intrusive thoughts after two of my three births- vivid visions of crushing skulls, etc. My pdoc at the time never thought to diagnose me as bipolar. She just kept me on zoloft.
