I've been taking Lortab 7.5/500 for quite awhile for a severe injury with nerve damage. Doc is having me try Ultracet to mix things up a bit. How are these two different? (I've read the drug pamphlets, I'm wondering about personal experience).

I know with the Lortab I could take anywhere from half a tablet to 4 depending on the pain and get a good 4 hours pain free. I'm not sure about dosing on the Ultracet and how long it lasts.

Also, the Lortab definitely gave me that itchy yet content feeling (almost euphoric). Will Ultracet have that side effect? I could do without the itching.

Also, how is Ultracet for nausea? I usually have to take phenergan to counteract the nausea when I have to take a large dose of the Lortab. And, although the phenergan makes me sleepy, the Lortab always kept me awake. How is it with Ultracet - does it make you sleepy?

I know drugs react to everyone differently. Thanks for your help.
