Since I was a grad student, I wanted to go to the Univ counseling center. I had a faculty friend who had seen someone there (faculty could get a few consulting sessions), and he recommended my T (the center had a staff of @ 25, plus 2 pdocs). When I checked, he had the credentials I wanted and was the Chief Psychologist and Training Supervisor for the interns, so I made an appointment. He also had a private practice, so when I wasn't eligible as a student anymore, I could continue with him. That continuity ended up being really important to me. I liked him immediately.
