LMo, that is good advice, I myself was going to reply something along those lines too.
Wally, it can help both of you, it helped my husband to learn along with me what was happening, my former psychologist and pdoc, both sat and we had a meeting/appt./session(s).
Having Bipolar in my family,sort of made it no surprise to me when it hit me in 2000, which was triggered from some life events, otherwise I had never had any history,symptoms or DXes of Bipolar.
Whatever was the true cause, I needed help,the depressive end was becoming near fatal, I sought professional help,stuck with treatment and with hubby too.
Gaining education on any disease/disorder is important and helpful down the road.
