Yes, I think it's great to have a dynamic therapeutic relationship, a little like outside relationships. Therapy's for the horrific, scary, difficult stuff, and the thoughtful, problem-solving mode, but there's also room for the fun, comfortable, taking pleasure in each other's company mode. My therapist says it ebbs and flows, and I'm super-impatient, so I don't always like that, haha, but think it's good.

P.S. Just realized you're in psychoanalysis, I remember my own, not too fondly, haha, and I can see where that type of thing would be a bit more frowned upon.
