My T is very careful to stop me or at least point it out whenever I start to take care of him. He very consistently reminds me that taking care of him is his job and that I do not need to worry about it or even think about it.

There is nothing I can say to him that he cannot handle and if he ever finds that not to be the case, it is his responsibility to take care of himself through supervision or whatever else he needs to do. But it will never, ever be my responsibility to hold back for fear of hurting him.
