Your dreams suggest that you have the perception that your own emotional nature does not allow you to take a stand on your own principles nor make any progress by acting on your principles. (can’t stand or walk) In order to make progress you must resort to putting yourself down or demeaning yourself. (have to crawl) This may have become almost a matter of course. (even normal everyday things) There seems to be some idea that you cannot shake off or lose. (someone chasing me)

The baby would represent a new idea – one that could relate to a new project, or new concept about someone – or possibly even the idea of an actual baby. The recent dream can be suggesting that you might feel quite hospitable to a new idea (had a baby in the hospital) yet there is an emotional aspect of yourself (“they”) that will not allow you access to the new idea nor even allow you to believe in it (wouldn’t even let me see her) on the basis of your present PTSD condition. As this baby is apparently a baby girl, it would also indicate that the new idea comes from your emotional nature and may not seem logical to you.

You could find there is some call for the aspect of yourself that is on the lookout for what is not right (tried calling the police) because there may be something to recommend telling yourself that there is no rightness/correctness in keeping a new idea away from yourself. (saying that they had no right to keep her from me) When you manage to regard the new idea as if “a find” – one to value or treasure – you seem to emotionally restrict yourself even further. (tried to find her - they strapped me down). The “strap”ping down might also be seen as a form of self punishment in this situation.

Waking up shaking could suggest that what you experienced only as “a dream” or fantasy could in reality leave you shaking in fear. [Having a baby would usually imply living a normal life with a mate. Does your condition make such a thought scary?] Waking up shaking could also suggest that being denied what is rightfully yours – even only in a dream – could in reality leave you shaking with anger.
