That's an awful feeling. It was happening to me awhile back, and I thought it might have to do with the bully I was suddenly having to deal with IRL. My mask didn't incorporate the right tools for that unpleasant chore.
I was finding it difficult sometimes to keep my mouth shut & not say what came naturally when dealing with jerks & idiots, which would have been a
major mask malfunction ... which was part of the reason why, at 67, retirement seemed clever & timely.

I think if I had worked on my coping skills, reviewing them with my T more often and perhaps acquiring some new ones, my mask might have worked better longer.
