If it is not to painful to discuss ... would you mind telling me how your family/friends reacted to your ED? When my Ed became to severe to hide, I was pretty shocked at people's responses.

Mine ran for the hills...my best friend (of 28yrs) still believes that there is no such thing as an ED

Another friend has said over and over "well just stop it (buliema and binging) and eat good food"

My son (22yr) the subject is taboo between us - he won't acknowledge that there is anything at all wrong

Another friend (of 18 yrs) said "AAHHH Chew - Ok can I have disability now - I have a cold"

Another friend (of 8) years - said "I need to apply for disability so that I can stay at home and be a house husband. What a sweet deal!"

My son's girlfriends Mom said - "so you must have lots of fun running around shopping and doing what ever you want without having to work."

My sister is so embrassed by me that she denies she has a sister.

I think an ED is a very isolating illness.

I have asthma, sleep apena, fibrom. GERD.
I'm in pain all the time.I can't hardly walk to the store.

Yeah I'm really having the "time of my life" LOL

Sincerely,
freewill
