I have struggled long and hard for my entire life but only recently diagnosed as well. I have heard great things about DBT and have workbook of my own. The stuff in there is really useful and I'm hoping to join a DBT group someday. I can't say that meds help with my intense emotions or with irrational thinking, but they have helped me feel less depressed.
I also find that stability, having a stable relationship, job or what not can really help with my BPD.
Although managing to get and KEEP one of those is the difficult part.
