I ended up going, even though I literally was still thinking about canceling ten minutes before the appointment started. I was still really, really nervous and shook the entire time, but the counselor was really nice. He said that because my anxiety is so intense right now (and because they don't treat ocd symptoms), I should be referred out to a specialist and medicated, but since I can't and won't do that right now (I'm still on my parents' insurance and I don't want them finding out), I could use my twelve sessions at the counseling center.
He said that in his opinion, I would benefit from longer term therapy, but that if this was all I had access to at the moment, they would do everything in their power to help.

Also, he did say that severe social phobia seems to be the main issue, and that it's very possible that the ocd symptoms are just a way of dealing with those fears. He does want me to talk to my parents, though, which I'm not really okay with yet. I got assigned to the counselor I will work with for the next three months, and my first real appointment is on Wednesday.
