Have you thought of keeping paper towels close by for these "dirty" experiences? Likewise in the kitchen. Dry up the "bird splashings" with a paper towel.

When my husband trims his beard, he leaves little hairs all over the sink! EEWWWWW! Paper towel to the rescue! It goes right in the trash afterwards.
