My T has a no contact policy between sessions. In the long run, it has proven rather useful and I've come to prefer it this way. Whenever I miss him, I use my imagination to feel close to him. I sing a song that reminds me of him; I look at the picture I have taken of his office; I imagine sleeping in his office, when it's empty and smelling the distinct smell of the room; I write my thoughts; I have imaginary conversations with him or imagine that we take long walks together; or I bring to mind comforting and warm word he has said to me over the years...
