I'd just like to say I too was afraid of weight gain when put on Risperdal. I asked my pdoc about it and expressed concerns. I'm also on Lexapro, Neurontin which he says is worse for weight gain than anything. Anyway, he gave me a prescription for Amantadine to counter act weight gain. I've looked this up and several articles says it may even cause you to loose weight. Plus it has lots of other good qualities. You might ask your Dr. about this.
